MJ'S MOVIE TRAILER PREMIERS AT MTV AWARDS

MTV closed out their exciting Video Music Awards show with the trailer for the highly-anticipated upcoming Michael Jackson film "Michael Jackson: This Is It." The film will be released on Oct. 28, but will only be in theaters for a short two-week limited period. For Jackson fans, this film is a rare, behind-the-scenes look into Jackson's last few months.

Directed by Kenny Ortega, a longtime Jackson collaborator who was the stage director and creative partner for the tour, "This Is It" is made up of rehearsal footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for the sold-out London concerts that his untimely death prevented him from performing.

Recorded between April through June 2009, "This Is It" will feature Jackson rehearsing, preparing and creating the show that was scheduled to take place during the summer of 2009, before Jackson died on June 25. There was over 100 hours of footage that this film pulled from of Jackson performing some of his biggest hits. The film promises to be one the most up-close and personal looks into Jackson's final days.

Executive produced by John Branca and John McClain, who are co-executors of Jackson's estate, the film will be distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, with tickets to go on sale beginning September 27.

At the VMAs, Janet Jackson paid tribute to her late brother as her father Joe Jackson and brother Jermaine Jackson sat in the audience. The show took place at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The 2009 Video Music Awards was be hosted by Russell Brand, and included performances by Beyonce, and Jay-Z.
